Rachel Bynum, continued

  • An active parent of two Rappahannock County Elementary School Students.  Recipient of the School Board’s 2013 “Above and Beyond” Award for work on the playground area of the school.
  • Helps with RappFlow’s Watershed Field Days
  • Helps with RAAC Community Theatre
  • Frequent produce donor to Rappahannock Food Pantry and Capital Area Food Bank
  • Part of Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) weather station project
  • 4 years professional experience in outdoor environmental education with several organizations, including the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. 
  • 1995 Graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, MN.  Environmental Studies Major, Natural History Concentration

 Sam Quinn

Sam QuinnHas an M.S. in Conservation Biology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse, NY.  He did his graduate research examining multi-scale factors influencing the distribution of the Eastern Hellbender, the largest New World salamander. In addition to a focus on stream ecology, he has also worked with plant community restoration and spatial modeling. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of RLEP. Sam is currently the Conservation Manager at The Farm at Sunnyside, in Washington, VA.
